About the front USB port

To transfer photos from a digital camera, external card reader, or USB flash drive, just
plug the camera or other device into the printer's front USB port. You can then print the
photos using HP Photosmart software.

In order to print photos from the front USB port you need a USB cable that is compatible
with your camera. HP recommends that you use a cable that is less than 3 meters long.
