3. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
4. Remove the server from the chassis (" Removing the server from the chassis " on page 18 ).
5. Remove the drives on quick release carriers from the system tray.
6. Remove the drives from the front of the system tray:
a. Rotate the tray handle to unlock the power connector.
b. Remove the drive from the chassis.
7. Install the server into the chassis (" Installing the server into the chassis " on page 23 ).
8. Connect the peripheral devices to the server.
9. Power up the server (" Powering up and configuring the server " on page 25 ).
Processor options
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the drives and the
internal system components to cool before touching them.
CAUTION: To prevent possible server malfunction and damage to the equipment, multiprocessor
configurations must contain processors with the same part number.
