Selecting a specific power supply opens the Power Supply Information, Bay x page, where x is
the bay of the selected power supply. This screen provides status information on the selected power
supply.

Status information

Description

Row

The overall status of the fan. Possible values are Unknown, OK, Degraded, and Failed.

Status

The product name of the fan.

Name

The amount of power consumed by the fan displayed in watts.

Present Power

The part number to be used when ordering an additional fan of this type.

Part Number

The spare part number to be used when ordering a replacement fan of this type.

Spare Part Number

The unique serial number of the fan.

Serial Number

Diagnostic Information

Diagnostic information is gathered by polling a device microcontroller (resulting in a degraded
status if a failure has occurred) or is sent by the device microcontroller, without being polled to
report a failure.

The device identification data checked is information such
as model name, part number, serial number, and other

information used to identify the device. This data is also
called FRU data. A device identification data error appears
if the data is not present or not readable by the Onboard
Administrator. Possible values are OK or Error.

Incorrect power supply location. Possible values are OK
or Incorrect location for proper device cooling.

Device Location

Device has failed; status was not requested by the Onboard
Administrator. Possible values are OK and Error.

Device Operational

Device has failed; status was requested by the Onboard
Administrator. Possible values are OK and Error.

Device Degraded

Presence of a fan module. Possible values are OK and Not
Present.

Fan Presence

Indicates if the fan has been indicted by the Superdome 2
Analysis Engine.

Device Indictment

To update the fan information, click the Refresh button.

Managing users

Users/Authentication

This section explains the levels of user rights recognized by the HP Superdome 2 Onboard
Administrator and provides detailed procedures to configure the management functionality provided
by the Onboard Administrator.

The Users/Authentication menu item cannot be selected and does not display overview information
for user accounts or settings. Instead, select any of the sublevel menu items for specific settings.
