After the server files are copied, HP NetServer's AUTOEXEC.NCF file is

modified so that the NSA software is loaded automatically every time your
server starts.

Installing NSA Software on Your Windows NT Servers

If you have Windows NT servers, setup has installed HP AutoPilot Client software but
you still need to install NSA server software to complete setup. Leave your HP
AutoPilot Client running, then proceed to the next section for instructions on
installing NSA software on your Windows NT servers.

Before proceeding:

Be sure that you've set up SNMP services to include the

community name (typically "public") and IP address of your HP AutoPilot Client. In
addition, you must have administrator privileges for the servers you plan to monitor
using HP AutoPilot.

NOTE

TCP/IP and SNMP services are included with the standard Windows NT

product and must be available on all Microsoft Windows NT servers you
want to monitor using HP AutoPilot.

To install the NSA 3.0 Server software on an HP NetServer running Windows NT:

1. Insert the HP NetServer Navigator CD-ROM in your server's CD-ROM drive, or

log on to a network-accessible CD-ROM drive.
