12.1 SCHEDULE

Refer to the following chart for an approximation of routine maintenance actions. Refer to the

Volvo-Penta IPS Operator’ Manual, page 62-64, for more complete instructions on each item.

Perform all maintenance once a year even if hour levels have not been reached. Some of the
items you may choose to leave to professionals, but many you can do yourself. In particular, it is

a good idea to have a certified mechanic perform check-ups from time to time on the engine,

generator, and any other key equipment installed onboard. Volvo Penta & Northern Lights

engines are assumed – check your manuals if your brands differ.
