Main Hoop Installation

Step . Place the driver side trunk bar

Part # 7090 inside the trunk flush against

the seat back. Insert two 3/8” x 1¼” hex head

bolts and washers through the reinforcement

plate

Part # 70909, seat back and trunk

bar from inside the vehicle. Secure with two

Nyloc nuts and washers. Do not tighten yet

(See Fig 12).

Step . Align the four holes in the driver side

package tray bar,

Part # 7090 with those

in the package tray. Insert four 3/8” x 1¼” hex

head bolts and washers through the package

tray bar, package tray and trunk bar. Secure

with four Nyloc nuts and washers (See Fig13).

Do not tighten yet.

WARNING:

When performing step 13 caution

must be taken not to puncture or damage any

fuel or brake lines while drilling through the

floor pan. Remove screws and clamps fasten-

ing the brake or fuel lines to the frame rail or

floor pan allowing them to be moved out of the

way. Both the driver and passenger sides lines

must be moved before drilling.

Step . Position the inside edge of the

mounting plate 1/2” from the spare tire well

(See Fig 14). Using the trunk bar mounting

plate as a template, drill two pilot holes along

the back edge of the mounting plate. One

through the inboard hole and the other through

the center hole of the mounting plate. The

inboard and center mounting holes should

straddle the frame rail. If necessary adjust the

mounting plate to achieve the proper location

and drill six 3/8” holes through the trunk pan.

Step . Install two reinforcement plates

against the bottom of the trunk pan. The two

hole plate,

Part # 60908, is mounted in-

board board of the frame rail and the four hole

plate,

Part # 709 is mounted outboard of

the frame rail (See Fig 14). Secure both rein-

forcement plates to the trunk bar using six 3/8”

x 1¼” hex head bolts, twelve washers and six

Nyloc nuts.

Do not tighten yet.
