Network Access

TeleNav GPS Navigator uses the public Internet to access its servers for mapping, routing, and search services
from your device. If you are not using your BlackBerry for e-mail services, you will still need to add an individual
BlackBerry e-mail plan to have access to data services. There are three different network settings for you to select
from. Wait 90 seconds after turning on your BlackBerry to allow these services options to register. These access
methods are automatically determined by TeleNav when it launches, but you can change the settings from within
the TeleNav Preferences menu.

Pairing your Bluetooth GPS Receiver

The BlackBerry 8100, 8300, and 8700c devices require a Bluetooth GPS receiver to provide GPS location
information. Follow the instructions below to pair the Blackberry device with the Bluetooth GPS receiver.

NOTE: If you have a BlackBerry 8310 or 8800, this section does not apply unless you would like to use an external
Bluetooth GPS receiver with your device.

1. Turn on the Bluetooth GPS receiver and make sure it is within 20 feet of

the BlackBerry.

2. On the BlackBerry Main Menu, highlight the Options icon (it looks like a

wrench) and press Enter.

3. If Bluetooth is disabled, press the MENU key and select “Enable

Bluetooth.”

4. Then press the MENU key again, choose Add Device, and wait for the

BlackBerry to find the GPS receiver.

5. After the GPS receiver is found, highlight it and press the Enter key to

proceed with pairing. When prompted, enter the GPS Bluetooth pass
code. For a TeleNav GPS receiver, this code is “0000.”

6. Save your input and then press the ESCape key until you return to the

BlackBerry Main Menu.
