SOLVING OTHER PROBLEMS
The following chart lists some conditions that may occur and the recom-
mended solutions. Follow the suggested solutions until the problem is cor-
rected. If the problem persists, call for service.

Power problems

CONDITION SUGGESTED SOLUTIONS
The machine is
not receiving
power;
or the printer
cable connection
between the com-
puter and the
machine is not
connected prop-
erly.
• Plug in the power cord and then press the power
switch to turn the machine on.
Or press (power) on the control panel.
• Disconnect the machine printer cable and recon-
nect it.

Staple Empty Staple cartridge is
empty.
Replace the staple car-
tridge (See "Replacing
the stapler cartridge" on

Staple Low Staple cartridge is low. Prepare a new staple
cartridge
Toner Not Compati-
ble
The toner cartridge you
have installed is not for
your machine.
Install a Samsung-gen-
uine toner cartridge,
designed for your
machine.
Toner not installed The toner cartridge is not
installed or the CRUM
(Consumer Replaceable
Unit Monitor) in the car-
tridge is not properly con-
nected.
Reinstall the toner car-
tridge two or three
times. If the problem
persists, the toner car-
tridge is not being
detected. Call for ser-
vice.
[tray type] cassette
Out
The tray is not properly
inserted.
Close the tray.
Waste toner Full The waste toner bottle is
full.
Replace the waste toner
bottle.
