Camera settings menu

Item Description
Format
Format the internal memory and the memory card. All
files-including the protected files-are deleted.

If you use a memory card used with cameras from
other manufacturers or a memory card reader, or one
formatted on a computer, your camera may read the
card incorrectly. Format the card before using it.
Reset
Reset menus and shooting options. Date and time,
language, and video output settings are not reset.

Language Select a language for the display text.
Time Zone
Select regions for the home time zone and the visit
time zone.
• Home: Set the time zone of your home country.
Use this option when you reset the camera or
when you return to your home country from
another time zone.
• Visit: If you are visiting a different time zone, use
this option to set the time zone as a secondary
clock. The secondary clock calculates the time in
the current time zone based on your home time
zone.

Quick View
Set the duration for reviewing a captured image before
returning to Shooting mode.
(Off, 0.5 sec*, 1 sec, 3 sec)
The camera always displays photos captured in the High-
speed burst mode before returning to Shooting mode.
Power Save
If you perform no operations for 30 seconds, the
camera automatically switches to Power save mode.
