Using smart range
Your camera takes two photos with different exposures, and then overlays the bright area of the underexposed photo and the dark area of
the overexposed photo.

Select a “ Smart Range.

Option Description
Off: The smart range effect is off.
On: The smart range effect is on.
• The smart range effect may be affected by camera shake, lighting,
movement of the subject, and the shooting environment.
•
When taking photos at night, slow the ISO speed to reduce noise in
your photos.
• When taking photos at night, use a tripod to prevent blurry photos.
• You cannot use the flash when the smart range effect is on.
• It may take longer to save a photo with the smart range effect.
• When you use the smart range effect, the preview image on the
screen and the captured photo may appear slightly larger than a photo
captured without this effect.
