Be sure to use only recommended microSD cards (<32GB). Using non-
recommended microSD cards could cause data loss and damage your phone.
Make sure your battery is fully charged before using the microSD card. Your data
may become damaged or unusable if the battery runs out while using the
microSD card.
View the microSD Card Memory
The Storage settings menu gives you access to your microSD card memory information.

Mount the microSD Card
When you install the microSD card, your phone automatically mounts it, creating a data
connection between the card and your phone. If you have previously unmounted an SD card,
but have not removed it from your phone, you will need to mount it again in order to access its
contents.
1. Press

and tap Settings > Storage.
2. Tap Mount SD card. The SD card will be mounted and ready to use.
Format the microSD Card
Formatting a microSD card permanently removes all files stored on the card. (The SD card must
be mounted before formatting. See
.)
1. Press

and tap Settings > Storage.
2. Scroll down the screen, tap Format SD card > Format SD card > Delete all.
Important!
The formatting procedure erases all the data on the microSD card, after which
the files CANNOT be retrieved. To prevent the loss of important data, please
check the contents before you format the card.
Unmount the microSD Card
When you need to remove the microSD card, you must unmount the microSD card first to
prevent corrupting the data stored on it or damaging the microSD card. Since you will remove
the battery first before you can remove the microSD card, close all running applications on your
phone and save any data first.

2. Tap Unmount SD card. Tap OK.
