Section 9: Changing Your Settings

This section explains the settings used for customizing your
device.

Accessing Settings

1. From a Home screen, touch

Apps

Settings.

From a Home screen, touch

Menu

Settings.

– or –

From any screen, touch the top of the screen and

swipe downward, to display the Notifications panel,

and then touch

Settings.

Settings Tabs

The Settings are divided into 4 main groups. When the
Settings screen displays, the following four tabs are located
at the top of the screen:

Note: The settings for your device are described below in the

order that they appear within the Settings menu. Options
under the Connections tab are listed first, followed by
My device, Accounts, and More settings.

Connections: This tab allows you to see all
settings related to the connection of your device
to external sources, such as, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth,
and Nearby devices.

My device: This tab provides access to device
configuration and customization features, such
as, Lock screen, Display, Sound, Power saving
mode, and Accessibility.

Accounts: This tab provides both the ability to
create and modify your accounts (such as,
Samsung account, Email, and Google account)
and access Backup and reset features.

More: This tab provides access to the remaining
set of device settings not listed under the other
three tabs, such as, Location services, Security,
Application manager, and About device.
