Making a Call from Contacts
You can store phone numbers that you use regularly in the
phone’s memory. For more information, refer to “Dialing or
Messaging from Contacts” on page 50.
Making Emergency Calls
If you do not have a SIM card installed the first time you turn
on the phone, the No SIM card in device.
Without a SIM card, you can only make an emergency call
with the phone; normal cell phone service is not available.
Making an Emergency Call without a SIM Card
1. If the mobile device is not on, switch it on.
2. From a Home screen, touch Phone to launch the
Phone Dialer.
3. Key in the emergency number for your present location
(for example, 911 or other official emergency number).
Emergency numbers vary by location.
4. Touch Call to place the call.
5. Complete your call.
During this type of call, you will have access to the
Speaker mode, Keypad, and End Call features.
6. Touch End call to exit this calling mode.
Making an Emergency Call with a SIM Card
The Emergency calling mode makes redialing an emergency
number a 1-touch process. Before you can resume normal
calling operations, you should first exit this mode.
1. From a Home screen, touch Phone.
2. Enter the emergency number (example: 911) and then
touch Call .
3. Complete your call. During this type of call, you will
have access to the Speaker mode, Keypad, and End
Call features.
Note: This mode can drain your battery power more rapidly
than normal calling mode.
