Your personal digital assistant
• Download web pages then synchronize with ActiveSync
• Connect to the Internet and view web pages online
While browsing you can also download new files and
programs. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer version
4 or later, your favorites can be synchronized to your
Smartphone.
Launching Pocket IE
1. At the Home Screen, press the left soft key ( ) Start ,
then press until Internet Explorer is highlighted.
2. Press . A list of Favorites appears in the display.
3. Press to highlight the favorite that you’d like to visit on
the Internet, then press .
4. Your Smartphone dials the service provider and
connects to the Internet.
Tip:
If Internet Explorer is slow in responding or does not
function at all, you may need to empty the cache file.

Clearing cache storage
While browsing, web pages you visit sometimes leave behind
files in your Smartphone. The file types and their descriptions
are outlined in the following table.
File type Description
Temporary
files
Previously viewed pages of the current
browsing session.
Cookies
Files created by websites that store information on
your computer, such as your preferences while
visiting that site.
History
Shortcuts to pages viewed during previous brows-
ing sessions.
