Home Screen

The Home screen is the starting point for using your device.

Note: Unless stated otherwise, instructions in this user manual

start with the device unlocked, at the Home screen.

1. Status Bar: The area along the top of the Home screen

which displays notifications (on the left side), battery
power, and connection details (on the right side). For
more information, refer to “Status Bar” on page 27.

2. Time: Displays the current time. For more information,

refer to “Date and Time” on page 141.

3. Widgets: Applications that run on the Home screen. For

more information, refer to “Widgets” on page 29.

4. App Shortcuts: Shortcuts to apps. For more

information, refer to “App Shortcuts” on page 28.

5. Current Page: Indicates which Home screen page is

being displayed. For more information, refer to
“Extended Home Screen” on page 20.

6. Primary Shortcuts: Shortcuts to common features

which are displayed on all Home screens. For more
information, refer to “Primary Shortcuts” on page 28.

7. Apps: Display the Apps screen.
