Note

The AT-SBx31CFC960 Controller Fabric Card does not support
versions earlier than 6.18.0 of the AlliedWareNSP management
software.

14. With a text editor, make the following changes to the configuration file

that you downloaded from the AT-SBx31CFC Card and saved on your
network server in step 3:

a. Change all occurrences of “CFC200” to “CFC960”. Here are two

examples:

SET PROFILE=AUTOPROV CFC960 ADMINSTATE=up
CREATE CARD=4 CFC960 PROFILE=AutoProv

b. Change the version numbers of the preferred tar load files in the

SET CARD commands to the version of the AlliedWareNSP
management software on the controller card: Here are two
examples:

SET CARD=4-5 PREFLOAD=CFC960_6.18.0.0.tar
SET CARD=0-2,6-10 PREFLOAD=x31sma_6.18.0.0.tar

Note

Do not make any other changes to the file.

15. Upload the edited configuration file from your network server to the

active master AT-SBx31CFC960 Card with the RESTORE CONFIG
command. Allied Telesis recommends specifying an output file for the
command with the OUTPUT option so that you can check to see if the
controller card encounters any errors when it performs the commands
in the edited configuration file. This example of the command uploads
a configuration file titled engineering_chassis.cfg from a TFTP server
with the IP address 149.135.78.12 and creates an output file called
results.txt:

restore config file=engineering_chassis.cfg tftp
server=149.135.78.12 output=results.txt

After the controller card receives the file, it writes it to flash memory
and resets.

16. Wait two to three minutes for the controller and line cards to complete

the initialization process. To monitor the process, refer to “Monitoring
the Initialization Process” on page 206.
