Chapter 8: Port Parameter Commands

DISABLE INTERFACE LINKTRAP

Syntax

disable interface=port linktrap

Parameter

port

Specifies the port where you want to disable SNMP

link traps. You can specify more than one port at a
time. You can specify the ports individually (for
example, 5,7,22), as a range (for example, 18-23), or
both (for example, 1,5,14-22).

Description

This command disables link traps on a port. When disabled, the switch
does not send an SNMP link trap when there is a change to the status of
a link on a port.

Note

In order for the switch to send SNMP traps to SNMP trap receivers,
you must activate SNMP on the unit and specify one or more trap
receivers.

Example

The following command disables link traps on port 21:

disable interface=21
