The Smart Portrait Menu

mode.
Skin Softening
Enable skin softening.
The current setting can be confirmed in the monitor when shooting (
A9). No indicator is
displayed when Off is selected. The effects of skin softening are not visible when framing
images for shooting. Check the degree of skin softening performed in playback mode.

Option Description
S High When the shutter is released, the camera detects one or more
human faces (up to three), and processes the image to soften
facial skin tones before saving the image. You can select the
amount of effect that is applied.
R Normal (default setting)
Q Low
Off Turns skin softening off.
