Audio Devices
Figure 9 shows the Audio Devices menu for the media configuration. Detailed information on these
configuration options is listed below. When the information is complete, select
OK
to save the settings.

Device Name
Select from the drop-down menu the audio device to use as a headset, speaker phone, or USB.
Force Sampling Rate
Different values may be chosen for better sound quality.
Voice Activity Detection
Voice Activity Detection (VAD) allows the ADTRAN IP SoftPhone to detect speech activity. Change
these values to alter the sensitivity.
