Please read and comply with
these instructions prior to the

initial operation of your appliance. Retain
these operating instructions for future refer-
ence or for subsequent possessors.

– 6.654-143.0: The charger is only suited

to charge PzS lead batteries with a
nominal voltage of 24 V and a nominal
capacity of 240 Ah.

– 6.654-188.0: The charger is only suited

to charge PzS lead batteries with a
nominal voltage of 24 V and a nominal
capacity of 400 Ah.

– Do not use the charger outdoors, on

streets or explosion hazardous rooms.

Warning and information plates on the

machine provide important directions
for safe operation.

Apart from the notes contained herein

the general safety provisions and rules
for the prevention of accidents of the
legislator must be observed.

Keep children away from batteries and

charger.

The charger may not be modified.
The charger may only be repaired by

trained personnel.

The proper discharge of the exhaust

gases must be ensured.

All burning, glowing or spark distributing

materials are prohibited in the vicinity of
the charger.

Wear safety clothes and protective gog-

gles.

Do not touch your face or eyes while

working with batteries; danger of chem-
ical burns.

Risk of explosion!
If unsuitable batteries are used, the battery
can emit gas, boil and explode.

The battery charging process can give rise
to explosive gases.

Risk of fire and explosion!
Smoking and naked flames are strictly

prohibited.

Rooms where batteries are charged

must have good ventilation because
highly explosive gas is emitted during
charging.

Danger of causticization!
Rinse thoroughly with lots of clear water

if acid gets into the eye or comes in con-
tact with the skin.

Then consult a doctor immediately.
Wash off the acid If it comes in contact

with the clothes.

Your sales outlet should be informed about
any transit damage noted when unpacking
the product.
– The type of charger can be read on the

type plate on the appliance.

– The entire charging process is control-

led and regulated electronically.

– The charge control increases the bat-

tery life.

Moisture will damage the battery charger
and can cause electric shock.

– The charging location must be dry, free

of dust and well-ventilated.

– In order to ensure sufficient cooling,

there must be an open space 10 cm
around the charger with a cover.

– All open air louvres of the charger must

be freely accessible.

– Do not place objects on top of the

charger cover.

– The charger must be protected from

electricity conducting dusts (e.g. soot,
metal shavings...).

Open the hood of the sweeper and se-
cure it using the hood support.

Always keep the hood open during the
charging process.

Connect the charger to the mains.

– Follow the operating instructions of the

sweeper during charging.

– Do not separate the charger cables

from the battery.

Never connect or disconnect the charger
cable while the charger is turned on. Other-
wise, the charger can be damaged or there
might be sparks on the charger cable.

Pull the mains plug from the mains
socket and place it in its holder.

Check the voltage source

Check the fuse.

Inform the KÄRCHER customer serv-
ice.

In order to safeguard warranty claims, all
service and maintenance work during the
warranty period must be carried out by the
authorised KÄRCHER specialist in accord-
ance with the maintenance booklet.

Environmental protection

The packaging material can be
recycled. Please do not throw
the packaging material into
household waste; please send it
for recycling.

Old appliances contain valuable
materials that can be recycled;
these should be sent for recy-
cling.. Batteries and accumula-
tors contain substances that
must not enter the environment.
Please dispose off old devices,
batteries and rechargeable bat-
teries through suitable waste
collection systems.
