Vorsichtsmaßnahmen
• Beachten Sie bei der Auswahl der
Montagestelle folgendes:
— Installieren Sie das Gerät nicht an einem
Ort, an dem;
• die Umgebungstemperatur höher ist als
55 °C.
• es direktem Sonnenlicht oder der
Warmluft von einer Heizung ausgesetzt
ist.
• es Regen, Wasser oder hoher
Luftfeuchtigkeit ausgesetzt ist.
• es übermäßig viel Staub ausgesetzt ist.
• es starken Vibrationen ausgesetzt ist.
— Der Kraftstofftank darf nicht durch die
Schneideschrauben beschädigt werden.
— Hinter der Stelle, an der das Gerät
befestigt wird, dürfen sich keine
elektrischen Kabel und keine sonstigen
Leitungen befinden.
— Ersatzrad, Werkzeug und andere Teile im
Kofferraum dürfen durch die Schrauben
nicht beschädigt werden. Achten Sie auch
darauf, daß die Schrauben oder das Gerät
selbst beim Herausnehmen dieser Teile
nicht hinderlich sind.
Hinweise
• Für eine sichere und problemlose Installation
verwenden Sie nur die mitgelieferten
Montageteile.
• Bohren Sie die Löcher mit einem Durchmesser von
3,5 mm erst, wenn Sie sich vergewissert haben,
daß sich nichts auf der Rückseite der
Montagefläche befindet.
Entfernen der Schrauben (3)
• Die drei Schrauben an der Unterseite dieses
Geräts sind nur zu Transportzwecken
angebracht. Entfernen Sie sie unbedingt vor
dem Installieren des Geräts.
• Bringen Sie die Aufkleber qa an allen
Bohrungen an, die für die Installation nicht
benötigt werden, und an den drei
Schraubenbohrungen für den Transport.
Diese Aufkleber verhindern, daß sich Staub
ansammeln kann, was zu Fehlfunktionen
führen könnte.
Hinweis
Bewahren Sie die drei Schrauben für den Transport
gut auf, so daß sie nicht verloren gehen.

Remove the DVD changer.

Precaution
• Choose the mounting location carefully,
observing the following:
— Do not install the unit where;
• the ambient temperature exceeds
55 °C (131 F°).
• it will be exposed to direct sunlight or
hot air from a heater.
• it will be exposed to rain, water, or
high humidity.
• it will be exposed to a lot of dust.
• it will be subject to excessive
vibration.
— The fuel tank should not be damaged by
the tapping screws.
— There should be no wire harnesses or
pipelines under the place where you are
going to install the unit.
— The spare tyre, tools or other equipment
in or under the trunk should not be
interfered with or damaged by the
screws or the unit itself.
Notes
• Be sure to use only the supplied mounting
hardware for a safe and secure installation.
• Make holes of ø3.5 mm ( 1 7 / 16 in.) only after
making sure there is nothing on the other side
of the mounting surface.
Removing the screws (3)
• On the bottom of this unit are three screws
for shipping purpose only. Be sure to
remove them before installing.
• Place the seals qa over any holes not used
for installation and the three screws used
for shipping. These seals help to prevent
dust building up, which could cause a
malfunction.
Note
Keep the three screws for shipping purpose, it
will not get lost.
Connecting the parking brake
cord (4)
Be sure to connect the parking cord qk (light
green) to the parking brake switch cord. The
mounting position of the parking brake
switch cord depends on your car, please
consult your car dealer or your nearest Sony
dealer for further details.

Précautions

montage.
— Vérifiez que l’appareil ou les vis ne
risquent pas d’endommager ou de
gêner la roue de secours, les outils ou
un autre objet dans le coffre.
Remarques
• Pour garantir la sécurité de l’installation,
utilisez uniquement le matériel de montage
fourni.
• Ne percez les trous de ø 3,5 mm (1 7 / 16 po.)
qu’après vous être assuré qu’il n’y avait rien de
l’autre côté de la surface de montage.
Dépose des vis (3)
•Trois vis se trouvent sous cet appareil pour
servir au transport uniquement. Retirez-les
avant de procéder à l’installation.
•Mettez les joints qa sur tous les orifices non
utilisés pour l’installation et les trois vis
utilisées pour le transport. Ces joints
empêchent l’accumulation de la poussière,
susceptible de causer un
dysfonctionnement.
Remarque
Conservez les trois vis, elles peuvent resservir
pour un transport ultérieur.
Raccordement du câble du
frein à main (4)
Raccordez bien le câble de stationnement qk
(vert clair) au câble électrique du frein à
main. La position de montage du câble
électrique du frein à main est différente selon
les véhicules. Consultez votre
concessionnaire automobile ou votre
distributeur Sony pour plus d’informations.
Using the tap
Attach to the tap ql the end of the parking
cord qk (light green) and the parking brake
switch cord.
Note
If the parking brake switch cord is too thin,
connect the parking cord qk to the parking brake
switch cord directly without using the tap ql.
FM modulator (5)
(For audio out from the car audio with FM
tuner.)
•You can listen to the FM tuner of your car
audio using the audio player of this unit. If
a clear signal cannot be obtained on 88.9
MHz (factory setting), change the position
of the frequency select switch of the FM
modulator to 88.3 MHz.
Use a screw driver to change the position of
the frequency select switch.
•After checking the frequency, use the
cleaning cloth qj to wipe the surface where
the velcro tape wa will be applied, then dry
it completely before installing. Be sure to
install it in a position that will not interfere
with driving.

Remote control sensor (8)
•Before installing the remote control sensor,
confirm the maximum signal distance of
remote control. The remote control can be
used up to approximately 3 m (9.8 ft.) from
the light sensor, in a conical area spreading
roughly 15º from the light sensor.
•Use the cleaning cloth qj to wipe the
surface where the velcro tape qh will be
applied, then dry it completely before
installing. Be sure to install it in a position
that will not interfere with driving.
•If necessary, secure the remote control
sensor cord with the cord clamp qg.
How to install the DVD
changer (9)
When you install the DVD changer, be
careful not to damage wiring or equipment
on the other side of the mounting surface.
Before installing the DVD changer
(9 A)
•Before installing this unit, set the built-in
anti-vibration board as illustrated,
depending on the angle.
•After setting the angle, place the seals qs
over any holes on the side of this unit.
These seals help to prevent dust building
up, which could cause a malfunction.
Note for vertical installation (9 B-1)
Before installing in the vertical position, pass
the cable q; through the hole at the lower left
of the bracket 4.
When the unit is to be installed under
the rear tray or in the trunk, observe
the following. (9 C)
•Choose the mounting location carefully so
that the unit can be installed horizontally.
•Make sure the unit does not hinder the
action of the torsion bar spring, hinge, etc.
of the deck lid.
Note
Make installation holes in the rear dash, after
making sure there is nothing obstructing.

Modulateur FM (5)
(Pour la sortie audio de l’autoradio avec le
tuner FM.)
•Vous pouvez écouter le tuner FM de votre
autoradio avec le lecteur audio de cet
appareil. S’il est impossible d’obtenir un
signal clair sur 88,9 MHz (réglage par
défaut), réglez la position du bouton de
sélection des fréquences du modulateur FM
sur 88,3 MHz.
Utilisez un tournevis pour modifier la
position du bouton de sélection des
fréquences.
•Après avoir vérifié la fréquence, utilisez le
chiffon de nettoyage qj pour essuyer la
surface sur laquelle la bande velcro wa doit
être appliquée puis séchez-la complètement
avant de procéder à l’installation. Installez
l’appareil dans une position qui ne gêne
pas le conducteur.

Capteur de télécommande

•Avant d’installer le capteur de
télécommande, vérifiez la distance de
signal maximale de la télécommande. La
télécommande peut être utilisée jusqu’à une
distance d’environ 3 m (9,8 pieds) du
capteur de lumière, dans une zone conique
s’étendant dans un rayon d’environ 15° par
rapport au capteur de lumière.
•Utilisez le chiffon de nettoyage qj pour
essuyer la surface sur laquelle la bande
velcro qh doit être appliquée puis séchez-la
complètement avant de procéder à
l’installation. Installez l’appareil dans une
position qui ne gêne pas le conducteur.
•Si nécessaire, fixez le cordon du capteur de
la télécommande à l’aide du collier de
serrage qg.
Installation du changeur de
DVD (9)
Lorsque vous installez le changeur de DVD,
veillez à ne pas endommager les câbles ou les
instruments qui se trouvent de l’autre côté de
la surface de montage.
Avant d’installer le changeur DVD
(9 A)
•Avant d’installer cet appareil, réglez le
panneau anti-vibrations intégré comme
illustré, en fonction de l’angle.
•Après avoir réglé l’angle, placez les joints
qs sur tous les orifices situés sur le côté de
cet appareil. Ces joints empêchent
l’accumulation de la poussière, susceptible
de causer un dysfonctionnement.
Remarque concernant l’installation
verticale (9 B-1)
Avant d’installer l’appareil en position
verticale, passez le câble q; dans l’orifice
situé en bas à gauche du support 4.
Si vous comptez installer le changeur
de DVD sous la plage arrière ou dans le
coffre, prenez les précautions
suivantes. (9 C)
•Choisissez soigneusement l’emplacement
pour que le changeur soit à l’horizontale.
•Assurez-vous que l’appareil n’entrave pas
l’action du ressort à barre de torsion, des
charnières, etc., du couvercle de la malle.
Remarque
Percez les orifices d’installation sur la plage
arrière, après avoir vérifié l’absence d’éléments
obstruants.

• Überprüfen Sie vor dem Installieren des
Fernbedienungssensors den maximalen
Signalabstand zur Fernbedienung. Die
Fernbedienung hat eine Reichweite von bis zu
etwa 3 m und kann in einem Winkel von ca. 15º
zum Lichtsensor verwendet werden.
• Reinigen Sie mit dem Reinigungstuch qj die
Oberfläche, an der das Klettband qh angebracht
wird. Lassen Sie die Stelle vor dem Installieren
vollständig trocknen. Installieren Sie den
Fernbedienungssensor unbedingt an einer Stelle,
an der er beim Fahren nicht hinderlich ist.
• Sichern Sie den Fernbedienungssensor, falls
erforderlich, mit der Kabelklemme qg.
Installation des DVD-Wechslers

Achten Sie sorgfältig darauf, daß keine Kabel und
keine anderen Teile auf der anderen Seite der
Montagestelle beschädigt werden.
Vor dem Installieren des DVD-Wechslers
(9 A)
• Richten Sie vor dem Installieren dieses Geräts die
integrierte Antivibrationsplatte je nach Winkel
wie in der Abbildung dargestellt aus.
• Bringen Sie nach dem Einstellen des Winkels die
Aufkleber qs an allen Bohrungen an der Seite
dieses Geräts an. Diese Aufkleber verhindern,
daß sich Staub ansammeln kann, was zu
Fehlfunktionen führen könnte.
Hinweis zum vertikalen Einbau (9 B-1)
Bevor Sie das Gerät in vertikaler Position
einbauen, führen Sie das Kabel
q; durch die
Bohrung unten links in der Halterung 4 .
Beim hängenden Einbau unter der
Heckablage oder im Kofferraum beachten
Sie folgende Vorsichtsmaßnahmen. (9 C)
• Wählen Sie die Montagestelle sorgfältig so aus,
daß die Einheit horizontal montiert werden
kann.
• Achten Sie darauf, daß das Gerät den
Heckklappendämpfer und das Scharnier des
Kofferraumdeckels usw. nicht blockiert.
Hinweis
Bohren Sie Installationslöcher in die Heckablage,
nachdem Sie sich vergewissert haben, daß kein
Hindernis vorhanden ist.

Anschließen der Parkleitung
(4)
Die Parkleitung qk (Hellgrün) muß unbedingt an
die Parkbremsenschaltleitung angeschlossen
werden. Die Montageposition der
Parkbremsenschaltleitung ist von Fahrzeugmodell
zu Fahrzeugmodell unterschiedlich.
Wenden Sie
sich bitte an Ihren Autohändler oder Ihren Sony-
Händler.
Das Kontaktstück
Verbinden Sie das Kontaktstück ql mit dem
Ende der Parkleitung qk (hellgrün) und der
Parkbremsenschaltleitung.
Hinweis
Ist die Parkbremsenschaltleitung zu dünn,
verbinden Sie die Parkleitung qk direkt mit der
Parkbremsenschaltleitung, ohne das Kontaktstück
ql
zu benutzen.
UKW-Modulator (5)
(Für Audioausgang von einer Autoanlage mit
UKW-Tuner.)
• Sie können den UKW-Tuner der Autoanlage
über den Audio-Player dieses Geräts
wiedergeben lassen. Wenn bei 88,9 MHz
(werkseitige Einstellung) kein klares Signal
erzielt werden kann, stellen Sie den
Frequenzauswahlschalter des UKW-
Modulators auf 88,3 MHz.
Ändern Sie die Position des
Frequenzauswahlschalters mit einem
Schraubenzieher.
• Überprüfen Sie die Frequenz, und reinigen
Sie dann mit dem Reinigungstuch qj die
