ちがった使いかたをすると、火災などにより人身事故になること
があり危険です。事故を防ぐために次のことを必ずお守りくださ

 万一、異常が起きたら

警告表示の意味
取扱説明書では、次のような表示をしています。表示の内容
をよく理解してから本文をお読みください。
この表示の注意事項を守らないと、火災・感電
などにより死亡や大けがなど人身事故の原因
となります。
注意を促す記号 行為を禁止する記号

 ソニーの相談窓口に修理を依頼す
る
製品および同梱物を、幼児・子供の手の届く範囲に
放置しないでください。
幼児の手の届かない場所に置き、口に入れないよう注意
する。万一、飲み込んだ場合は、ただちに医師に相談し
てください。
落下や損傷により内部が露出した場合は、すみやか
に電池を抜き、使用を中止してください。
感電や火傷の恐れがあります。また内部に手を触れな
いでください。
万一、使用中に高熱、焦げ臭い、煙が出る等の異常を
感じたら、すみやかに電池を抜き、使用を中止してく
ださい。
電池についての安全上のご注意
漏液、発熱、発火、破裂などを避けるため、下記
のことを必ずお守りください。
取り扱い上のご注意
電池について
 電池の製造後の経過期間により、新しい電池でも電池寿命が本
紙の記載と異なる場合があります。また、長期間の旅行や寒い
ところでは予備の電池をご用意ください。なお低温のために性
能が低下した電池でも、常温に戻せば、性能は回復します。
使用温度について
 急激な温度変化を与えると内部に水滴を生じる可能性がありま
す。スキー場のような寒い屋外から暖かい室内に持ち込む場合
は、寒い屋外でビニール袋などに入れ、袋の中の空気を絞り出し
て密閉します。その後室内に持ち込み、周囲の温度に充分なじ
ませてから取り出してください。
その他のご注意
 本機は防水構造になっていません。万一、水に濡れた場合は乾
いた布でふき取り、すみやかにソニーの相談窓口にご相談くだ
さい。
 本機を絶対に分解しないでください。故障したときは、必ずソ
ニーの相談窓口にご相談ください。
 本機のお手入れには、柔らかい布で汚れを軽くふき取ってくだ
さい。シンナー、ベンジンなどの有機溶剤を含むクリーナーは
絶対に使用しないでください。
 直射日光下の車内など極度の高温下や、湿度の高いところに放
置しないでください。
 感電の原因となることがありますので、ぬれた手でさわらない
でください。

電池の容量について
ご使用になる前に、本機の電池容量が充分かを以下の手順でご確
認ください。
1 POWER スイッチを ON の方向にスライドさせ電
源を入れる。
2 BATTERY CHECK ボタンを押す。
 電池容量が充分な場合、 BATTERY CHECK ボタンを押して
いる間は BATTERY CHECK ランプ（緑ランプ）が点灯します。
 BATTERY CHECK ランプが点滅する場合は、電池容量が残
り少なくなっていますので、電池の交換をおすすめします。
点灯も点滅もしない場合は、電池を交換してください。
 使用方法
カメラに本機を取り付けることにより、ワイヤレスフラッシュシ
ンクロシステムなどのホットシュー対応外部機器を以下の手順
でカメラに装着し、使用することができます。
1 カメラの電源を OFF にし、カメラのアクセサリー
シューのキャップをはずす。
2 本機の POWER スイッチを OFF にして、本機の
オートロックフットを、カメラ側のオートロック
アクセサリーシューに取り付ける。
 カチッと音がするまでしっかり差し込みます。
 本機をご使用になる前に、必ずカメラの内蔵フラッシュを
閉じてください。また、内蔵フラッシュの自動発光機能が
あるカメラでは、自動発光機能をオフにしておいてくださ
い。
下記の注意事項を守らないと、
火災・感電 により 死亡 や 大けが
の原因となります。
 指定された電池以外は使わないでください。
 電池の極性（＋ / −）を逆に入れないでください。
 電池を火中へ投入したり、充電、ショート、分解、
加熱をしないでください。
 電池は使い切ってから廃棄してください。また
廃棄するときは、テープなどで接点部を絶縁し
てください。
電池容量が残っていたり、他の金属と接触した
りすると、発熱・破裂・発火の恐れがあります。
お住いの自治体の規則にしたがって正しく廃棄
するかリサイクルしてください。
もし電池の液が漏れたときは、電池ケース内の漏れた液をよくふ
きとってから、新しい電池を入れてください。万一、液が身体や衣
服についたときは、水でよく洗い流してください。

ください。お読みになったあとは、いつでも見られるとこ

3 本機のホットシューに外部機器を矢印方向へスラ
イドさせ、しっかり差し込む。
ご注意
 外部機器の使用方法については、外部機器の説明書をよく
お読みください。
 外部機器によっては取り付けできない場合があります。ま
た、他社製フラッシュについては
フラッシュシステムに
適合しないため推奨しません。
4 本機の POWER スイッチを ON の方向にスライド
させ、電源を入れる。
 本機の電池は、カメラのシャッターボタンを押すたびに消
耗します。
5 使用後は、本機の POWER スイッチを OFF にして
外部機器をはずし、本機の取りはずしボタンを押
しながら、本機を矢印方向にスライドさせて取り
はずす。
 電池交換のしかた
ボタン型 3V リチウム電池（ソニー製 CR1220 ）の電池を使用しま
す。
1 電池室ふたを矢印の方向へスライドさせ、電池室
ふたを取りはずす。
 本機の電源を OFF にした状態で電池を交換してください。
2 先が平らな絶縁物を図のようにすき間に差し込
む。
ご注意
 すき間に差し込む際、つめなどで無理に押さないでくださ
い。けがをする場合があります。
 すき間よりも幅の広いものを差し込まないでください。本
機が破損する恐れがあります。
 差し込んだもので電池室内の端子部をこじないでください。
3 図のように軽く指を添えて電池が飛び出さないよ
うにしながら、先が平らな絶縁物で矢印の方向に
押し出して電池を取り出す。
 電池が飛び出す場合がありますのでご注意ください。
4 “ + ”が手前に向くようにして、図のように電池を
電池ホルダーのフチに引っ掛けて電池を入れる。
5 電池室ふたを元どおりに入れ、カチッと音がする
までふたを閉じる。

Notes on use
A note about the battery
 Depending on the time elapsed since manufacture
of the batteries, their life may vary from the values
described in this operating instructions, even if this unit
is provided with new batteries. We recommend having
spare batteries. It should be noted that battery capacity
decreases as temperatures drop. Allow the battery
to return to normal room temperature to restore the
battery to its normal charge.
Operating temperature
 A rapid increase in temperature causes condensation
to form inside this unit. If you need to bring this unit
directly in from the cold to a warm environment, place
the unit in a plastic bag while you are outdoors, and try
to extract as much air as you can from inside the bag
before sealing the bag. You can remove the unit from the
bag when the air temperature around the bag has had a
chance to gradually rise.
Other cautions
 This unit is not waterproof. If it comes in contact with
water, wipe it dry with a clean cloth and take it to the
nearest Sony dealer immediately.
 Never attempt to disassemble this unit. Take it to the
nearest Sony dealer immediately for repair.
 When dirty, this unit may be cleaned with a clean, dry
cloth. Do not allow this unit to come in contact with
alcohol or other chemicals.
 Never leave this unit where it may be subjected to
extreme temperatures, such as the glove compartment
of a car, or to high humidity.
 Do not touch the unit with wet hands. This may cause
electric shock.

Battery capacity
Before using the battery, ensure that it has sufficient power
for the following operations.
1 Turn on the unit΄s power by sliding the
POWER switch to ON.
2 Hold down the BATTERY CHECK button.
 If the battery has a sufficient charge, the BATTERY
CHECK lamp (green lamp) will light while pressing
the BATTERY CHECK button.
 If the BATTERY CHECK lamp starts to blink, that
means that the battery does not have a sufficient
charge. It is recommended that you change the
battery. If the BATTERY CHECK lamp does not
light or blink, that means that the battery must be
replaced.
 Using this unit
By attaching this unit to the camera, you can attach the
external device compatible with hot shoe like a wireless
flash sync system to the camera and use it with following
steps.
1 Turn off the power of the camera and slide
the accessory shoe cap of the camera.
2 Turn off the unit΄s power and slide the
mounting foot into the auto-lock accessory
shoe of the camera.
 Slide the mounting foot of this unit firmly until it
clicks.
 Before using this unit, close the built-in camera flash.
When using this unit with a camera that has an auto
flash function, set the auto flash function to “OFF.”
3 Slide the external device in the direction of
the arrow to attach it firmly to the hot shoe
of this unit.
Notes
 For details about handling the external device, refer
to the external device operating instructions.
 Depending on the external device, you cannot
attach it to this unit. Competitor flashes are not
recommended because they are not compatible with
the flash system.
4 Turn on the unit΄s power by sliding the
POWER switch to ON.
 Battery power of this unit is depleted by pressing the
shutter button of the camera.
5 After use, turn off this unit’s power and
remove the external device from this unit.
Then remove this unit by sliding it in the
direction of arrow as illustrated while
pressing the release button.
 Changing the batteries
Use a button type 3V lithium battery (CR1220) with this
unit.
1 Slide the battery-chamber cover in the
direction of arrow to remove the cover.
 Turn off the power of this unit when replacing the
battery.
2 Insert a flat-tipped insulator into the space
between the battery and adaptor body as
illustrated.
Notes
 Do not insert your fingernail because you can be
injured.
 Do not insert an object that it is thicker than the
space because you can damage the unit.
 Do not apply excessive force to the terminal in the
battery-chamber by inserting anything.
3 As illustrated, press the battery lightly with
your finger not to pop out and press the
battery with a flat-tipped insulator in the
direction of the arrow to remove the battery.
 Be careful not to pop out the battery when removing
it.
4 Put the battery “+” pole facing upward, and
fit the battery into its holder as illustrated.
5 Slide the battery-chamber cover in the
direction of arrow until it clicks to secure the
cover in place.
