To send a still image via e-mail using a MAPI-compliant e-mail
software such as Microsoft

Outlook

1 Make sure your e-mail software is compatible with the Messaging
Application Programming Interface (MAPI). See the manual that
came with your e-mail software to determine if it is MAPI compliant.

Make sure your e-mail software is set up to send and receive mail.

Click the Start button on the Windows 98 taskbar.

Point to Programs, point to Smart Capture Application, and then
click Still Viewer.

Choose the still image you want to send using the or button. To
capture a new still image, press the CAPTURE button in the upper
right corner of the keyboard. For details on capturing still images, see
“Capturing a still image” on page 57.

Click MAIL.
7 Address the e-mail and write your message. The still image is
automatically attached as a file.

Send the e-mail.

Note: If you use Microsoft ® Outlook ® 98 as your e-mail software, check your mail in order to
send the messages in your out box.
