Connecting

When the ignition is turned to on with the
Bluetooth signal activated, this unit searches for
the last-connected Bluetooth device, and
connection is made automatically if possible.

This chapter explains how to connect manually
to registered Bluetooth devices.

Before starting, be sure to activate the Bluetooth
signal both on this unit (page 37) and the other
Bluetooth device.

Connecting a cellular phone

Make sure the Bluetooth signal of this
unit and the cellular phone is turned
on.

Operate the cellular phone to connect
to this unit.

” flashes while the connection is being

made, then stays lit while connected.

Connecting to the cellular phone
last-connected from this unit

Make sure the Bluetooth signal of this
unit and the cellular phone is turned
on.

Press (TOP), then touch “BT Phone”
in the top menu.

made, then stays lit while connected.

Note
Some cellular phones require permission to access
their phonebook data during handsfree connection to
this unit. Obtain permission via the cellular phone.

Tip
With Bluetooth signal on: when the ignition is switched
to on, this unit reconnects automatically to the last-
connected cellular phone. But automatic connection
also depends on the cellular phone’s specification. If
this unit does not reconnect automatically, connect
manually.

Connecting an audio device

Make sure the Bluetooth signal of this
unit and the audio device is turned on.

Operate the audio device to connect to
this unit.

Connecting to the audio device last-
connected from this unit

Make sure the Bluetooth signal of this
unit and the audio device is turned on.

Touch “Source List,” then “BT Audio.”

Touch “Connect.”

Note
If connection is made during audio streaming, noise
may occur over playback sound.

Tip
You can connect a cellular phone for audio streaming
if it supports A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution
Profile).

To disconnect

1 Press (TOP) then touch “BT Phone,” or touch

“Source list” then “BT Audio.”

2 Touch “BT Menu.”

3 Touch “Signal,” then “Yes” on the

confirmation display to turn off the signal.

To delete all registrations

1 Press (TOP) then touch “BT Phone,” or touch

“Source list” then “BT Audio.”

2 Touch “BT Menu.”

3 Touch “Initialize,” then “Yes” on the

confirmation display to start initializing.
