You can magnify images up to the following size (default setting):
HDR-CX220/ CX220E/ CX230/ CX230E/ PJ220/ PJ220E/ PJ230/ PJ230E: 27 times optical zoom
HDR-CX280/ CX280E/ CX290/ CX290E: 50 times extended zoom
HDR-CX320/ CX320E/ CX380/ CX380E/ CX390E/ PJ320E/ PJ380/ PJ380E/ PJ390E: 55 times
extended zoom

When [

SteadyShot] is set to [Standard] or [Off], the magnification size varies as follows:

HDR-CX220/ CX220E/ CX230/ CX230E/ PJ220/ PJ220E/ PJ230/ PJ230E: 32 times extended zoom
HDR-CX280/ CX280E/ CX290/ CX290E: 27 times optical zoom
HDR-CX320/ CX320E/ CX380/ CX380E/ CX390E/ PJ320E/ PJ380/ PJ380E/ PJ390E: 30 times optical
zoom

To magnify images further (Extended Zoom) (HDR-CX220/ CX220E/

SteadyShot] to [Standard] or [Off].

You can magnify images up to 32 times the original size by extending the wide angle.
