Adjusting the High Pass Filter

The High Pass Filter on this unit can be adjusted to suit your personal
taste.

-1 Press and hold SOUND for at least 2 seconds to

activate the Sound Setting mode (CDE-9872 Series
only).

-2 Press

/SOUND (CDE-9874 Series only) or

SOUND (CDE-9872 Series only) repeatedly to select
the HPF mode.

Turn the Rotary encoder (CDE-9874 Series only) or
press

and

(CDE-9872 Series only) to select the

desired HPF frequency.

80 Hz

120 Hz

160 Hz

All frequencies above the selected cutoff are output.

Press and hold

/ESC for at least 2 seconds to

return to normal mode.

If no operation is performed for 15 seconds, the unit will return to

normal mode automatically.

The function is inoperable when DEFEAT is set to ON.

Displaying the Text

Text information, such as the disc name and the track name, will be
displayed if playing a CD text compatible disc. It is also possible to
display the folder name, the file name and the tag, etc., while playing
MP3 files.

Press VIEW.

The display will change every time the button is pressed.

When the TEXT SCR is set to SCR MANU, press and hold VIEW for

at least 2 seconds, the current text will be scrolled one time (except
Radio mode).

The Following display will be shown only when a telephone or
Bluetooth Streaming device with Metadata capabilities is
correctly connected with a Bluetooth Interface Module (Alpine
KCE-300BT) (sold separately). (For details about Bluetooth Box,
refer to the Owner’s Manual of KCE-300BT).
