x DEC. PRIO. (Digital audio input

decoding priority)

Lets you specify the input mode for the digital
signal input to the HDMI IN jacks.
• DEC. AUTO

Automatically switches the input mode
between DTS, Dolby Digital, or PCM.

• DEC. PCM

PCM signals are output from the connected
player. To prevent interruption when
playback starts, set to “DEC. PCM”. When
signals other than PCM signals are received,
set this item to “DEC. AUTO”.

Note

Even when “DEC. PRIO.” is set to “DEC. PCM”,
the sound may be interrupted at the very
beginning of the first track depending on the CD
being played back.

x A. ASSIGN (Digital audio input

assignment)

Lets you assign the digital audio input to other
input source. For details, see “Enjoying the
sound/images from other inputs” (page 94).

Settings for the video

(VIDEO menu)

You can use the VIDEO menu to assign the
video input to other input source.
Select “VIDEO” in the amplifier menus. For
details on adjusting the parameters, see
“Navigating through menus” (page 45) and

“Overview of the menus” (page 46).
