“Memory Stick”
Symptom Cause and/or Corrective Actions
Cannot operate functions using the
“Memory Stick.” cSet the POWER switch to the CAMERA-MEMORY or PLAY/EDIT
mode. (p. 16)
c Insert a “Memory Stick” into your camcorder. (p. 21)
• The “Memory Stick” was formatted on a personal computer.
cFormat it on your camcorder (Note that all recorded data will be

Cannot record on the “Memory
Stick.” cRelease the lock on the write-protect tab of the “Memory Stick.” (p. 118)
cThe capacity is full. Delete unnecessary pictures recorded on the
“Memory Stick.” (p. 99)
cFormat the “Memory Stick” on your camcorder or insert another
“Memory Stick.” (p. 66)
• The “100MSDCF” folder is selected. You cannot record pictures to the
“100MSDCF” folder. This folder is used for playback only.
The HOLOGRAM AF light is not
emitted on the center of the subject. • The focus is automatically adjusted if the HOLOGRAM AF light reaches
