 Supported file formats are as follows:

 MP3: file extension “.mp3”

 WMA: file extension “.wma”

 AAC: file extension “.m4a”

 MPEG4: file extension “.mp4” or “.avi”

 MPEG2/MPEG1: file extension “.mpg” or

“.avi”

 Motion JPEG: file extension “.avi”

 JPEG: file extension “.jpg” or “.jpeg”

Note that even when file names have the

above file extensions, if the actual files

differ, the system cannot play those files, or

playback problems occur even if you could

play files. Especially, such audio files and

audio data in video files may generate a

loud noise which could damage the speaker

system and the system may malfunction.

 The following situations can increase the

time it takes to start playback:

 files and folders recorded on the USB

device or memory card with a complicated

tree structure.

 when the files in another folder have just

been played back.

 when you play back AAC files.

 Playback of MP3 files may take time

depending on the encoding software used to

create the MP3 files.

 The system can play back to a depth of

8 folders only.

 Resume play back is cancelled when you

change the function.

 The system does not necessarily support all

the functions of USB device or memory card.

 The playback order of files and folders for the

system may differ from the original order of

their creation on the USB device or memory

card.

 Folders that have no MP3/WMA/AAC audio

files, video files, JPEG image files are skipped

during playback.

To select the memory on the USB

device

If the USB device has more than one

memory (for example, internal memory

and a memory card), you can select

which memory to use and then start

playback.

You cannot select a memory during

playback. Make sure to select a memory

before starting playback.

Connect the USB device to the

(USB) port.

Select “Settings” from the home

menu, then press ENTER.

Press / repeatedly to select “USB

Memory Select,” then press ENTER.

The setting screen appears.

Press / repeatedly to select a

memory number, then press ENTER.
