Installing the supplied applications on your CLIÉ™ handheld” in the “Read This
First (Operating Instructions)”.
After reinstalling all desired applications onto your CLIÉ handheld, you
must reinstall any product updates managed by
CLIE Update Wizard to
your CLIÉ handheld by following the steps below.
1 Start CLIE Update Wizard on the computer you perform the HotSync
®
operation with.
2 Select [CLIE], and check the list of product updates shown.
3 Make sure that the HotSync
®
operation check boxes for all product
updates are selected.
4 Click [Add changes to Install Tool].
The product updates selected in step 3 are registered on the Install
Manager window.
5 Click [Now] to register these product updates with the HotSync
®
operation.
6 Perform the HotSync ®
operation.
7 Verify that no errors occurred during the HotSync ®
operation.
Your CLIÉ handheld is restored with the latest applications and data.
However, some items may have been lost if it was not backed up properly
prior to the restore.
After a hard reset, all updated data and applications on my CLIÉ
™
handheld are erased. (continued)
