• Configuring the wireless settings on a computer

connected to the Base Station over a wired LAN is
recommended to ensure security. If creating settings
for the Base Station from your computer, settings
may differ from those on the PSP™ system. For
details, refer to the Operating Instructions document
supplied with the Base Station.

Using the Base Station as a
wireless LAN access point

You can use the Base Station as a wireless LAN
access point. When using the Internet browser
from the PSP™ system, if you select
[LocationFree AP] from the network connection,
you can connect to the Internet from the PSP™
system through the Base Station.

Tip

To use the Base Station as a wireless access point for
computers, the computers must be equipped with
integrated wireless LAN functions or wireless LAN
cards that conform to the IEEE802.11a, b, or g
standards.

You can delete registration information for a
device that is registered with the Base Station.

Tips

• You need to use [Basic Settings] (

1 page 5) to

register your PSP™ system with the Base Station.
For details about registering devices other than the
PSP™ system, refer to the Operating Instructions
document supplied with the Base Station.

• You can register up to four devices (for example, up

to four PSP™ systems) with the Base Station.

Note

It is not possible to watch TV or videos on more than
one of the registered PSP™ systems or computers at
the same time. (At any one time, only one of the
devices may view TV or videos.)

the Base Station appears here.

If you want to stop connecting to the Base
Station from a registered device, select the
check box for the device in "List of Registered
Devices" and then select [Delete] by pressing
the

button.
