Shooting close-ups

(Macro)

The macro recording mode is used when
zooming up a small subject, such as flowers
or insects. You can shoot close-ups of subjects
up to the 10 cm (4 inches) from the lens
surface.

In the shooting mode, push the 5-

way control key toward

once.

The (macro) indicator appears in the
display.

Press the shutter button

To return to the normal shooting mode

Push the 5-way control key toward

once.

The (macro) indicator disappears in the
display.

Note

It may take some time for the focus to adjust.

Checking the last image

you shot in the shooting

mode

(Quick Review)

In the shooting mode, press the 5-

way control key (

/ENT).

The last image you shot appears in the
display.

To return to the normal shooting mode

Press the 5-way control key (

/ENT).

To delete the image displayed

Press MENU. Turn the jog dial to select
“Delete,” and then press the 5-way control
key (

/ENT).

Notes

• Once you turn off the player, the last image you

shot cannot be displayed.

• The last image shot in the Burst mode is displayed.

The other three still images cannot be displayed.

• The still image that is taken and set as the cover art

cannot be displayed.

Viewing an index screen

(Nine-image screen)

In the viewing mode, press

SEARCH.
The display switches to the Index (nine-
image screen) screen.

To display the next (previous) index
screen, turn the jog dial to move the blue
border.

To return to the single-image screen

Press the 5-way control key (

/ENT).

Enlarging a portion of a

still image

(Playback zoom)

You can enlarge a part of an image up 4 times
the original size.

In the viewing mode, turn the jog

dial to select the desired image size
for shooting.
You can set the zoom in 10 levels to
enlarge a part of an image up to 4 times
the size of original.

Push the 5-way control key toward

+ or

– repeatedly

to select the desired portion of the
image.
