To record subjects other than people
(Tracking focus)

Touch the subject you want to record.

Your camcorder adjusts the focus

automatically.

Recording voices clearly
(Closer Voice)

Your camcorder detects the face of a
person and records the voice clearly. ([On]
is the default setting.)

 [Camera/Mic]

 [ Microphone]  [Closer
Voice].

Select the desired item.

Notes

The frames on the faces do not appear during

3D recording.

If you select [Off], appears on the LCD

screen.

[Closer Voice] will not function while an external

microphone is attached to your camcorder.

When you want to record the sound clearly

without any interference, such as when you record

a music concert, set [Closer Voice] to [Off].

Capturing smiles
automatically (Smile
Shutter)

A photo is recorded automatically when
the camcorder detects the smile of a
person during movie recording (p. 73).
([Dual Capture] is the default setting.)

Notes

When the frame rate and the recording

mode are set to [60i]/[Highest Quality

]

or [60p]/[60p Quality

], you cannot use

the Smile Shutter function while recording

movies. Furthermore, when the frame rate is

set to [24p], you cannot use the Smile Shutter

function, either.

Smiles may not be detected depending on

recording conditions, subject conditions, and

the setting of your camcorder.
