Recording motion pictures

- 83 -

VQT4J11

You can record motion pictures to the built-in memory only in [VGA] mode.

(→150)

Use a sufficiently charged battery.

The available recording time displayed on the screen may not decrease regularly.

[Sensitivity] is set automatically while a motion picture is being recorded. Also [ISO

Limit Set] is disabled.

The following functions are not available:

Extended optical zoom, flash, [Face Recog.], [Rotate Disp.] for pictures taken

vertically.

For certain memory cards, recording may end while in progress.

The recording range may become narrower in motion pictures compared to still

pictures. Also, if the aspect ratio is different for still pictures and motion pictures, the

angle of view will change when starting to record a motion picture. The recordable

area is displayed by setting [Video Rec Area]

(→34)

to [ON].

If Extended optical zoom is used before pressing the motion picture button, these

settings will be cleared, and the recordable area will be changed significantly.
