File output mode

2 Input/output setting screen

This screen is provided with operation buttons for
deciding output data and for setting and executing the
output, and other controls.

A. Displays the name of the data to be output.

[Edit track information] is displayed when the edited
data on the edit track is to be output.
• You can select an MPEG2 or SEQ file by clicking

on .

B. Displays the names of a destination folder and file.

You can select or input any folder and file names.
• You can select any folder registered in the library

except folders registered for each month in SD card
input mode.

• To output data, a free space larger than the output

data is required. Select a folder with sufficient free
space.

C. You can specify a file output format.

(By default, the optimum format that provides the
highest image quality is automatically selected
according to the size of a file to be output.)
• You can select from among the following file

formats:
[MPEG1 format (VideoCD compatible)]
[MPEG2 format (no re-encoding)]
If the data to be output has not been edited or
processed, it can be selected.
[MPEG2 format hybrid rendering (partial
encoding)]
If the data to be output has been edited or
processed, it can be selected.
[MPEG2 format selection (re-encoding)]
The entire data to be output will be re-encoded,
irrespective of whether or not it has been edited or
processed.
[ASF format (WindowsMedia compatible)]

• The [ASF format (WindowsMedia compatible)] is

the same format as used in video mail.
The MPEG2 format is the same as the data format
created using DVD R/RW output mode and
DVD-RAM output mode.
