MODULE FRAMES -- DMS-132MF & DMS-132SF

Please refer to the project shopdrawings in Section 5 for pictorial information.
In most systems the first card frame is the Master/Input Frame, so named
because it contains the Master Control Module and all Input Modules. All of
the other frames are Slave/Output Frames, as they each contain a Frame
(slave) Control Module and up to eight Output Modules. While the frames
appear similar and it is physically possible to install Input Modules in place of
Output Modules, or the Master Module in place of Frame Control Modules,
the system or modules will not function unless they are installed where they
belong, although no damage will result. Note: Single-frame DMXPathfinder
consist of one card frame containing the Master Control Module and all
Input/Output Modules in any combination

Each card frame incorporates slots for nine modules, and each slot includes
a socket for 120 (240) volt AC power. One printed circuit backplane board is
attached to the rear of the frame, and to this is soldered all module connector
sockets and other passive components. On this board there is a 4-position
DIP switch which is enabled all-ON only at the Master Frame and the last
Slave Frame in the system (Slave Frame) since those are at each end of the
system COM bus. This switch connects end-of-line terminate resistors for
the COM bus. There are also four DIP resistor sockets (RN1-RN4) for 100-
ohm resistor packs which terminate the system I/O bus at each end. These
must also be installed only in the same end-of-line frames as above.

P1 thru P8 are 26-pin DIL ribbon cable headers which transition each of the
Input or Output Modules' DMX data lines to twisted pair ribbon cable. The
ribbon cables in turn connect to DMS-16LT terminal block distribution cards
mounted in the rear of the equipment rack(s). This is where the external field
wiring connects to the system.

TB1 is an 8-position screw terminal connector for the remote PC's
RS422/485 or RS232 communication line.
