Backlight doesn’t
operate
1 Verify that cables are not pinched or severed.
2 Check display cable, inverter board, interconnect board,
daughterboard, and motherboard connections.
3 Replace inverter board.
4 Replace inverter display cable.
5 Replace interconnect board.
6 Replace display cable.
7 PowerBook 160/165: Replace display.
8 Replace daughterboard.
9 Replace motherboard.
10 PowerBook 180: Replace display (CPRC/international
repairers only) or return computer to Apple.
