Important

Read this user manual carefully before you use the appliance and

save it for future reference.

Danger

- Never immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid, nor rinse it

under the tap. Only use a moist cloth to clean the motor unit.
Warning

- Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds

to the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.

- Do not use the appliance if the plug, the mains cord or other

parts are damaged.

- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of

experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision

or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible

for their safety.

- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play

with the appliance.

- Do not touch the cutting edges of the blade units, especially

when the appliance is plugged in. The cutting edges are very sharp.

- Never use the chopper blade unit without the chopper bowl.

- Never process hard ingredients like ice cubes with the appliance.

- Be careful to avoid splashing when you process hot ingredient

(max. 80°C/175°F).

- None of the accessories is suitable for use in the microwave.

- If one of the blade units gets stuck, unplug the appliance before

you remove the ingredients that block the blade unit.

- If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips,

a service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualified persons

in order to avoid a hazard.
Caution

- Switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains before you

assemble, disassemble, store or clean it, and if you leave it unattended.

- Never use any accessories or parts from other manufacturers or that

Philips does not specifically recommend. If you use such accessories

or parts, your guarantee becomes invalid.

- This appliance is intended for household use only.

- Keep the motor unit away from heat, fire, moisture and dirt.

- Do not exceed the quantities and processing times indicated

in the table.

- Do not use the appliance with any of the accessories longer

than 3 minutes without interruption. Let the appliance cool down

for 15 minutes before you continue processing.
Electromagnetic fields (EMF)

This Philips appliance complies with all applicable standards and regulations

regarding exposure to electromagnetic fields.

Trigger switch

This appliance is equipped with a trigger switch.

- The deeper you press, the higher the processing speed becomes:

low speed (1), medium speed (2), high speed (3) (Fig. 1).
