To descale we recommend the use of
ordinar y commercial descalers.
For the regular removal of scale and dis-
colouring from the jug we recommend using
BODUM ® cleaner and descaler.
1. Dissolve contents of BODUM ® cleaner
and descaler package in 4 cups warm
water.
2. Turn machine on and begin the brew cycle.
3. Rinse all components and repeat steps
1 and 2 twice with clean water.

Guarantee. BODUM ® guarantees the "Santos" cof fee maker for
2 years from date of purchase against material defects or
malfunctions which can be traced back to defects in manufac-
turing or design.
Repair is free of charge provided all guarantee requirements are
fulfilled.
Guarantee requirements. The guarantee cer tificate must be
completely filled out by the seller at the time of purchase.

ser vices.
BODUM ® makes no guarantee for damage which can be attributed
to use for unintended purposes, incorrect handling, normal wear
and tear, defective or incorrect maintenance or ser vice work,

Cof fee has a slightly descaling ef fect.
If lime deposits are only slight, it is
suf ficient to leave a little cof fee in the jug
after each brewing cycle over a period of
2 – 3 days.
