Crevice tool, small nozzle and small brush (specific types only)

Connect the crevice tool (1), the small nozzle (2) or the small brush (3) directly to the

handgrip of the hose or to the tube. Use the same method as for the tube (Fig. 25).
Tri-Active nozzle (specific types only)

The Tri-Active nozzle is a multi-purpose nozzle for carpets and hard floors.

- The side brushes catch more dust and dirt at the sides of the nozzle and allow you to clean

better along furniture and other obstacles (Fig. 26).

- The opening at the front of the nozzle allows you to suck up larger particles (Fig. 27).

Use the hard floor setting to clean hard floors (for instance for tiled, parqueted, laminated

and linoleumed flooring): push the rocker switch on top of the nozzle with your foot to

make the brush strip come out of the housing. At the same time, the wheel is lifted to

prevent scratching and to increase manoeuvrability (Fig. 28).

Use the carpet setting to clean carpets: push the rocker switch again to make the brush strip

disappear into the nozzle housing. The wheel is lowered automatically (Fig. 29).
Combination nozzle (specific types only)

The combination nozzle can be used on either carpets or hard floors.

To clean hard floors, push the rocker switch on top of the nozzle with your foot (Fig. 30).

, The brush strip for cleaning hard floors comes out of the nozzle housing.

To clean carpets, push the rocker switch again (Fig. 31).

, The brush strip disappears into the nozzle housing.

Remote control operation (specific types only)

- The remote control has three buttons with which you operate the vacuum cleaner. With the ‘+’

and ‘-’ buttons you adjust the suction power and with the standby button you switch the

appliance to standby mode (Fig. 32).

Note: The functions on the remote control only work after you have switched on the appliance with the

on/off switch on the appliance itself.
Note: Replace the batteries when the ‘infrared active light’ does not light up when you press any button.

See chapter ‘Replacement’ to replace the batteries.

Pull the cord out of the appliance and put the mains plug in the wall socket.

To switch on the appliance, press the on/off button on top of the appliance (Fig. 33).

Tip: To avoid bending your back, press the on/off button with your foot.

To switch off the appliance, press the on/off button on top of the appliance.

During vacuum cleaning, you can adjust the suction power with the selection wheel on top of

the appliance (Fig. 34).

- Use maximum suction power to vacuum very dirty carpets and hard floors.
