4.3. Using the heater for the first time

When using the heater for the first time, turn the thermostat to the maximum and ventilate the sauna room
properly to burn off impurities on the heating elements and stones. The burning impurities may cause a smell
of smoke in the sauna room.

4.4. Pre-heating time

Pre-heating time is the period during which the desired temperature of the sauna room is reached. The length
of the period is determined by the setting of the thermostat, the amount of stones, the size of the sauna room
and the surface materials of the sauna. Less stones in the stone space lead to a shorter pre-heating time, but
also less steam. The pre-heating time varies between 40 and 70 minutes.

4.5. Operation (6 D, 8 D, 4,5 K, 4,5VV, 6 K, 8 K and 9K)

The heater is operated using a thermostat and a timer. They are located on the upper part of the heater, on the
connecting box.

4.5.1. Timer

The timer is also the main switch of the heater. When in position 0, the heater is switched off. If immediate
heating is desired, the timer is turned to the desired number in the operation range. The first numbers (0 to 4)
in the scale show the heating time in hours. When turning the timer to this range, the heater begins to warm up
immediately and is switched on for the set number of hours and then switched off automatically. If the heater
should start heating the sauna after a set delay, the timer is turned past the operation range (0 - 4) to the pre-
setting area (0 - 8).
For example: You want to have a sauna in 6 hours. The pre-heating period is one hour. Turn the timer to the
pre-setting area to number 5. The heater begins to heat the sauna automatically after five hours and the sauna
is set for use after six hours. The heater can be switched off at any time by turning the timer to position 0.

4.5.2. Thermostat

The heater is equipped with a built-in thermostat. There is no need for separate electric sensors or thermostats.
The maximum temperature in the sauna room is achieved by turning the thermostat switch clockwise to its
maximum position and the minimum temperature by turning it anticlockwise. Try different settings to find the
most pleasant temperature for yourself. Start with the maximum and lower the temperature then gradually as
much as desired.

4.5.3. Overheating protection system

The heater is equipped with an overheating protection system. It prevents the heater from
overheating in case the thermostat does not work properly. If the overheating protection
system switches itself on, the heating elements stop heating. The reset button of the
overheating protection system is located on the upper part of the back housing, under the
rubber plug next to the thermostat button (see the picture on right). To reset the overheating
protection system, remove the rubber plug and push the reset button with a thin (diameter
about 5 mm, length 100 mm) screwdriver or metal pin. The reason for overheating should be examined before
resetting.

4.6. Operation (6 T, 8 T)

The heater is operated using a separate CC control panel. See further instructions in the control panel user
guide.
