Instructions For Operation, Safety And Maintenance

Before Use
Please read the following information carefully. It contains important instructions
concerning the operation, safety and maintenance of the heater. Keep these instructions
for future reference.
Safety Instructions
When using an electrical appliance, the following basic safety precautions should always
be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury.
This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let any part of the body touch hot
surfaces.
Keep combustible material, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, paper, clothes, and
curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the
sides and rear.
Extreme caution is necessary when the heater is used by or near children or
handicapped individuals and whenever any heater is left operating and unattended.
Always unplug heater when not in use.
Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions,
or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service
facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
The apparatus must not be stored or used outdoors.
This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor
locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or near water.
Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs or runners.
Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
To disconnect heater, turn controls to “OFF”, then remove plug from outlet.
Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this
may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use
on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
If the heater is used in a location that is not level, the tip over switch may be activated,
the heater will not operate or may fall over.
Always place the heater on a solid level surface.
A heater has hot sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or
flammable liquids are used or stored.
Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use is not recommended
by the manufactured and may cause fire, electric shock, or personal injury.
Avoid the use of an extension cord. The extension cord may overheat and cause a fire.
However, if you have to use an extension cord, we recommend No. 14AWG, minimum
size and rated not less than 1875 watts.
