10054 Hydraulic Testing (S/N 9909 & After)

Engine Information

Idle . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1,050 ± 50 rpm

Full Speed . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2,730 ± 130 rpm

Hydraulic Oil Information

Oil Type - 10W, meets MIL-L-2104C or ISO Grade 46

Capacity - Reservoir . . . . . . . . . . 30.3 gal. (114,7 liter)

Capacity - System . . . . . . . . . . . . 59.5 gal. (225,2 liter)

Note: To adjust relief settings, pressure reducing
settings or standby pressure, turn the adjustment screw
clockwise to increase pressure or counterclockwise to
decrease pressure.

The hydraulic oil temperature for the pump flow test
should be between 100° F (38° C) and 120° F (49° C)
(tank hot to the touch) during testing.

TEST

LOCATION

Hydraulic Pump Flow Test

To check flow readings a flow meter capable of measuring 60 GPM (3,8 ltr/sec) and a load valve capable of
6,000 psi (413,4 bar) will be required (not included with kit P/N 7133413). A test nipple is supplied at location 7.

2,000 psi (137,8 bar) load @ Engine Speed of 2,500 ± 25 rpm — Flow rate should be 39 to 43 GPM (2,5 to 2,7 ltr/sec)

PRESSURE TEST PROCEDURES

Pump Standby
Pressure

550 ± 50 psi

(37,9 ± 3,4 bar)

Loosen load sense line at location

to bleed off pressure

and then retighten line. With engine at idle and all hydraulic
functions in neutral position, check pump standby pressure
(See Note).

Pump Pressure
Compensator

2,950 ± 50 psi

(203,3 ± 3,4 bar)

With engine at idle fully retract boom extend cylinder and hold.
Check pump maximum pressure.

Priority Valve
Steering Relief

2,500 ± 50 psi

(172,3 ± 3,4 bar)

With engine at idle turn the steering wheel all the way to the left
or right and hold while checking pressure. If pressure is not
correct, adjust (inside of “T” port) or replace the relief valve
cartridge in the priority valve (See Note).

Attachment Tilt Port
Relief

3,150 ± 50 psi

(217 ± 3,4 bar)

Reducing Valve
Block And
Park Brake Release

500 +25/-0 psi

(34,5 +1,7/-0 bar)

With engine at idle and park brake released check pressure. If
pressure is not correct, adjust or replace the cartridge in the
pressure reducing valve (See Note).

Pressure Reducing
Valve In Axle
Stabilizer Valve
Block

200 ± 25 psi

(13,8 ± 1,7 bar)

With engine at idle and boom in the down position check
pressure. If pressure is not correct, adjust or replace the
cartridge in the axle stabilizer valve (See Note).

Pressure Reducing
Valve In Axle
Stabilizer Valve
Block

275 psi Maximum

(18,9 bar)

With engine at idle and boom down, while frame tilting to the
left check pressure. If pressure is not correct, recheck
adjustment location

. If that pressure is correct, replace the

cartridge in the axle stabilizer valve.

Service Brakes

500 +25/-0 psi

(34,5 +1,7/-0 bar)

With engine at idle depress the service brakes and check
pressure. If pressure is not correct, adjust or replace the
cartridge in the pressure reducing valve (See Note).

Load Sense

Variable

0 to 2,950 psi

(0 to 203,3 bar)

With engine at idle operate a specific function (Boom, Frame
Tilt, Attachment Tilt, Auxiliary or Steering) and check pressure.
