Restoring custom settings and special software
Your computer came from the factory with
m additional applications
m system software settings
m the Mac OS Info Center customized for your computer
When you reinstall system software using the Mac OS 8 Install program
described in this chapter, it will not reinstall bundled applications, reset
customized settings, or provide customized information about your computer.
If you want to restore your computer to its custom settings, use the restore
program that is included on your system software CD. Follow these steps:
1 Restart your computer using your system software or restore CD, as described in the
next section.
2 Follow the instructions in the Read Me file for more information about restoring your
system software or bundled applications.
