STEP 3:

Install Road Armor Bumper

• On the trailer plug mount you will need to bend the small tab away as pointed out in the

photo. Photo 1

• Install your trailer plug and turn the plug clockwise and you will feel it lock into place. If it

does not you may have done it backwards. Photo 2

• Loosely fit brackets on frame using the factory bolts from the factory bumper. Photo 5 - 6

• Install one 1/2” bolt in Road Armor bumper per side using retainer clips as shown in picture.

• Wrap the corners of the bumper with soft material to protect bed from scratching.

STEP 2:

Uninstall OEM Bumper

• Park on level surface and Disconnect Positive Battery Terminal.

• Disconnect Factory license plate lights

*If your vehicle is equipped with factory back up sensors and/or trailer plug

you will need to disconnect them.

• Uninstall the factory bumper saving all OEM hardware.

• Uninstall trailer plug from OEM bumper

Note - If you have a 2011 2500 / 3500 Short Bed you will need to lower the spare tire.

STEP 1 :

Make sure you have all necessary tools and hardware.

Hardware Kit Includes :

(8) .5” x 13 x 1.5” Grade 8 Bolts
(2) .5” retainer clip
(16) .5” Washers Grade 8
(8) .5” Lock Washers
(4) 3/8 SOCKET CAP WINCH BOLTS
(4) 7/16 ALLEN HEAD WINCH BOLTS
(8) Hex Nut ½-13 Grade 8
(2) Push on Retainer Clips
(8) ALLEN HEAD BOLT & NUT (for logo and trailer plug plate)
- You may end up with extra hardware depending on the year and model of your truck.

Additional 2011 Hardware :
(There is no OEM hardware reused)
All Grade 8 hardware and bolts are 1.5” long
(2) 9/16” bolts

(12) 1/2” Washers

(4) 9/16” washers

(4) 3/8” Washers

(2) 9/16” lock washers

(6) 1/2” Lock Washers

(2) 9/16” nuts

(2) 3/8” Lock Washers

(6) ½” bolts

(6) 1/2” Nuts

(2) 3/8” bolts

(2) 14mm-2mm Nuts
