M.O.R.E.™ recommends pre-fitting this BUMPER into your Jeep® BEFORE you
paint it. Make sure that you Have no fit issues with any Aftermarket accessories
and that you are happy with all aspects of it. If you are, then paint it and re-install it.
Once you modify it in any way, it is NON-RETURNABLE !!!

1– Remove Factory rear bumper & if equipped remove tow hitch and or tow hook.
Save the 8 factory bolts that attached the bumper to the rear of the unibody.

2– Attach latch release lever to bear claw latch using supplied 1/4”x .75 bolt and
top loc nut . Attach spring through hole in latch release lever and latch body (see
figure 1A). Attach latch release button to latch release lever using a 1/4” x .75 bolt
and lock washer (see figure 1B).

3– Insert latch assembly into rear of bumper and attach using 4 supplied Allen
head bolts (see figures 2 and 2A).

4– Insert DS and PS mounting brackets into unibody frame rails and attach loosely
with factory bolts (see figures 3 and 3A) For 97 or newer jeeps you will have to
notch the unibody (see figure3B).

5– Raise Frame crossmember bracket into place and attach through framerail into
DS and PS brackets using 1/2” x 1.5” bolts, flat washers, and lock washers ( see
figure 4). Do not crossthread bolts. Once all bolts are started, you may tighten all
bolts .

6– Raise bumper and slide over mounting brackets. Start 1/2” x 1.5” bolts with flat
and lock washers through bumper into PS mounting bracket (see figure 5).

7– Position latch mud cover and start 1/2” x 1.5” bolts with flat and lock washers
through bumper into DS mounting bracket (see figure 6).

8- Start 1/2” x 1.5” bolts with flat and lock washers trough the bottom of the
bumper into the frame crossmember bracket. Do not crossthread!!! (see figure 7)
