9– Once all bolts are started, level bumper, and tighten all remaining bolts.

10– Install ramp block and rubber bumper using supplied hardware (see figure 8
and 8A).

11– Now grease the bearings with a wheel bearing grease and install the seal in
the bottom. Install the carrier over the spindle and attach with the washer, nut , cot-
ter pin and dust cap. ( Do not over tighten the castle nut ) ( Figure 9).
Close Slowly To Verify Clearance!

12– You will need to press the wheel studs into the tire carrier, make sure to do this
for the correct wheel pattern (5 on 4 1/2” OEM or 5 on 5 1/2” ) (Figure 10 & 10A)

13– When installing the spare tire you will want to slide the base so that when the
tire is tight it is pre loaded against the tube. ( Figure 11) Install tire and jack.

14– Adjust striker pin so that tire carrier is compressing rubber bumper when
latched.

15– Attach stainless steel logo with supplied screws to tire carrier.

16– Verify smooth operation of tire carrier. Your done so go Jeepin!!!
