SPECIAL NOTE:

The components packaged in this kit have been assembled and machined for specific type of conversions. Modifications to any of the components

will void any possible warranty or return privileges. If you do not fully understand modifications or changes that will be required to complete your conversion, we strongly
recommend that you contact our sales department for more information. This instruction sheet is only to be used for the assembly of Advance Adapter components.
We recommend that a service manual pertaining to your vehicle be obtained for specific torque values, wiring diagrams and other related equipment. These manuals are
normally available at automotive dealerships and parts stores.

3. Bolt transmission to the Advance Adapters bellhousing.

4. Cut through 1 side of the grommets so they can be installed over the release

bearing hose. Slide bracket over hoses as seen in the photo, and push
grommets into bracket. Make sure that you orient the internal release
bearing so that the bleeder hose is on the top.

5. Push the bearing assembly over the bearing retainer until adjusting nut

against bearing collar face. Use the supplied bolt and blue
Loctite to fasten the hose bracket to the bellhousing.

6. Install flywheel, pilot bearing, and clutch assembly. Refer to a

service manual as needed.

6. Install transmission / bellhousing assembly into vehicle.

7. Check clearance between the front face of the release

bearing and fingers of pressure plate. A feeler gage set
works well for this. Mcleod specifies a minimum of .100" and
a maximum of .300". If your clearance does not fall within this
window, do not continue! Remove transmission and adjust
release bearing as needed.

8. Once proper clearance has been established, install the

rubber boot over the release bearing hoses and into the side
of the bellhousing.

9. The release bearing will need to be plumbed to the master

cylinder. Refer to the Mcleod instructions for adjustment of
the clutch pedal and for bleeding information.
