①Connect the harness as illustrated. Make sure that connection is secure, and organize the cables with
the cable ties included in the kit.
③Attach R-VIT DS to the vehicle using the included double-sided adhesive tape.
Be careful with the location not to block the view of the driver, or where it becomes high temperature.
Also, this product is Infra-Red controlled. Therefore, be careful not to block the signal from
the remote control to the R-VIT main unit.
Note
In the "Toyota-CAN" type vehicles, R-VIT is constantly communicating with various kind of
electronic equipment.
Therefore,R-VIT turns on by the CAN signal from the equipment which operates
even when ignition switch is turned off.(Such as smart-key)
R-Vit turns On/Off 1 or 2 times in above vehicles when the smart-key is left inside
the vehicle after the engine is turned off, but it is a normal operation.
In case above operation is inconvenient, change to installation method (3).
R-Vit may turn on in the vehicles with smart-key (also in non "Toyota-CAN" vehicles).
After approximately 10 seconds, R-Vit turns off automatically.
In case the certain control of the R-VIT On/Off is necessary, change the installation method to (3).
②Refer to the application list for the power-on signal input method.
(1) For "Toyota-CAN" type vehicle :
Do not connect any cable to main harness (A) connector.
(2) For "Nissan" type vehicle :
Connect (A) and (B) of the main harness.
(3) If vehicle type is not type (1) or (2):
Connect main harness connector (A) to cigar lighter plug connector (C).
Then, connect the cigar lighter plug to the cigar lighter socket of the vehicle.
Note
Depending on the compatibility with the monitor, display on the monitor may be unstable.
Symptom may improve by changing RCA cable(included) to S-Video cable (Sold separately).
④Check if the installation is correct.
Turn the ignition on, and change the monitor input to "Video".
