1. Press the "START" key to switch on the thermometer. Remove cap from the thermometer

to expose the ear sensor. The symbol will be shown on the display.

2. If the thermometer is in standby mode (displaying clock and date), press and release any button to

turn it on.

3. Gently pull the ear back to straighten the ear canal (refer to “ 2 ” on page 16 of this Instruction

Manual). Insert the probe into ear canal and press the measurement key “ START ” once to start

the measurement. You will hear 1 short “beep” once the measurement has started. Upon completion

of the reading, you will hear 2 short “beeps”. You can either hear the result from the speaker or view

the measurement on the LCD screen.

4. The result will automatically be stored into the memory. The device can store up to 30 readings. If

the memory is full, the oldest reading will be deleted. The most recent will be stored in the memory

as the latest result.

5. It is recommended that a maximum of 3 consecutive ear temperature checks are taken. If the

temperature readings differ, take the highest reading. If there is a need to take a further reading,

wait at least 10 minutes after the third reading.

6. Displayed Measurements - The measuring temperature range is 32.0°C ~ 42.9°C (89.6°F ~109.3°F).

If a measurement exceeds 42.9°C (109.3°F), a "Hi" message will be displayed. If a measurement

falls below 32.0°C (89.6 °F), a "Lo" message will be displayed.

7. After completing a series of measurements, the thermometer will return to time mode after 1 minute.

8. The thermometer will switch off automatically 3 minutes after the last key was pressed.
